boys finished in a fantastic second place in their categories. This result meant
for Robert a direct qualification to the World championship in Shanghai and the
European championship held in Moscow.
Congratulations and all the best in the future!
Gerhard Sendrei succeeded again
Gerhard Sendrei took part in the Grand Prix Slovnaft dancing contest and finished in a wonderful 5th position in competition with other couples of higher level. The fact that Geri was the youngest participant makes this result even more valuable.

Judo fighters celebrating again
The Grand prix Povazska Bystrica hosted 285 competitors; members of 34 clubs from Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Czech Republic. TJ Sokol Prievidza was represented by 6 competitors. 4 of them finished 3rd and remaining 2 ended up 4th when they missed a higher position by the skin of their teeth. Even the youngest of Matias brothers, Matus, achieved the Bronze medal what makes us believe that he will follow his successful brothers that are already involved in Dive maky program. His older brother Jan wasn’t able to compete due to an injury, but Stefan (the member of VSC Dukla BB now), the eldest, won the Gold medal in the category of Juniors under 60 kg.
Matias brothers brought medals from a judo tournament
The town of Martin hosted The International Grand Prix in judo on Saturday 12.11.2011. 5 competitors from TJ Sokol proved their quality among more than 320 participants from Poland, Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia. 6 years old Matus Matias took part in the competition and reached an excellent 3rd position in the category Super mini under 27kg. Another talent supported by Dive maky program scheme, Jan Matias, smoothly fought his way through in a weight category under 50 kg and only a small mistake in a fight with other experienced Slovak athlete deprived him of a chance for a gold medal and he finished second.
Congratulation!

scoring of individuals as well as clubs. Based on the number of points collected
throughout the year, a ranking of clubs as well as individuals in each club is
created. The Olympics Talents Tournament was at the start of a career of many
successful judoists. ZJ SOKOL, a judo club, went to Žilina with its 11 member

A Young Beats Adults Thanks to Thorough Workouts
Divé maky´s Štefan Matiaš wins the 2nd place in the Central
Slovakia’s Championship in Považská Bystrica. Although a junior by age,
Štefan has for the first time tried his luck in the adult male category.
Despite a recent injury (snapped little finger), a two month break from
competitions and exercises, he jumped straight into the higher category. He
started working out only three weeks prior to the championship and managed to
catch up thanks to strenuous exercises. He trusted his luck from the beginning,
fought at full strength and lost only to the total winner of the category: a
truly outstanding performance, which certainly attracted the attention of
many.

Divé Maky to the Children of Jarovnice
Vladislava Dolníková, chair of the PRO DONUM, o.z. board of administrators and the founder of the Divé maky program, said that this workshop was extraordinary because the children of Divé maky started to pass on what they had learned to the children of Jarovnice. “Learning, passing on the skills learned, setting role models – this is the fundamental philosophy of Divé maky. It was amazing to observe how hard these children can work on themselves,” said Dolníková. Illustrator of the book “And God Created Male…”
Miroslav Turták who is developing his talent in the Divé maky program made illustrations for the book “And God Created Male…” by Barbara Pribylincová. Miroslav is presently a second year student at the Private Secondary School of Design in Bratislava. He was introduced to visual art by the artist Erik Binder. Although he never attended an Elementary School of Arts, Miroslav chose the art path.
The February of Fame
One week later Martin Horváth walked up to the rostrum to claim his award. However this time there was no dancing involved but rather some freestyle wrestling. Martin's room is now decorated with a silver medal from the Slovak Championships in Bratislava, and also the “Most Successful Athlete of the City of Stará Ľubovňa in 2009” accolade. We congratulate both winners!
The Christmas Story
This year's Christmas was very special to our talented violin player – Pavol Kuruc, the first year student of the Bratislava Music conservatory.
Before the Christmas time we were also contacted by Pavol's donor who wanted a tip for a suitable Christmas present for his boy. When he found out about our dilemma he offered his help. And Pavol is now enjoying a high quality antique violin of German manufacture. Thank you!
Performing with Ida Kelarová
We were happy to receive the offer of cooperation from Ida Kelarová on the occasion of launching her new album Aven Bachtale! Our singing talent Lukáš Horváth was one of her guests.
